Gentle Yoga
This gentle practice incorporates restorative poses, simple meditation and pranayama (breath work) with standing poses, seated poses, inversions, twists and backbends to deepen and refine the awareness of the body and mind. The use of basic props and modifications enables students to work through physical limitations, stiffness, or strain with comfort and ease. Postures are practiced mindfully and with detailed awareness of alignment to create stability and balance. The cumulative effect achieved by practicing specific sequences allows the body to open and develop energetically. The timing of movements and holds affects the individual on an organic, mental and spiritual level. The practice closes with a deeply calming final relaxation (shavasana). You will leave feeling grounded, rejuvenated and refreshed!

Flow Yoga
-Mixed Level
Our Mixed Level Flow is a form of yoga in which each pose flows into the next in coordination with the breath and through carefully balanced sequences. The progressions and long-holds cultivate a moment to moment sense of awareness deepening our experience of life. The fundamental principals of internal alignment (Bandhas), yogic breathing (Pranayama), breath synchronized movements (Vinyasa) and the sequencing of traditional poses (Asanas), prepare the practitioner to open the body, develop steadiness of mind and freedom of vital life force energy. Using meditation to quiet the mind, and music to inspire, students are guided to more advanced levels of practice and spiritual development. Moving with the rhythm of the breath helps us recognize our experience as a reflection of the greater Spanda (pulsation of the universe)— the rising and setting sun, the ebbing and flowing tides, the beating of the heart. We move through the forms in a flowing state of present awareness and grace. The breath leads the way, uniting the force between the body and mind.

IMG_0216Kundalini Yoga
Kundalini yoga was kept secret for thousands of years until 1969 when Yogi Bhajan began teaching it openly in the United States. Kundalini Yoga is called the Yoga of Awareness. It is a dynamic, powerful tool that is designed to give you an experience of your soul.
This technology precisely and consciously combines breath, mudra, eye-focus, mantra, body locks, and postures to balance the glandular system, strengthen the nervous system, expand lung capacity, and purify the blood. It brings balance to the body, mind, and soul.
“Kundalini Yoga is uncoiling yourself to find your potential and your vitality and to reach for your virtues. There is nothing from outside. Try to understand that. All is in you. You are the storehouse of your totality. ” –Yogi Bhajan

Yin Yoga
Yin yoga focuses on gentle yet intense long-held poses combined with breath work and meditation. Holding the poses or asanas for an extended period of time allows the practitioner to strengthen the connective tissues of the body and assists in freeing stagnant prana. Yin yoga can provide a balance to your active yoga practice and busy life, can create harmony and space for introspection, or can be a gentle introduction to yoga asanas, pranayama, and meditation. All levels and backgrounds are welcome.
